Clear Creek Amana Senior Riggle Named WAMAC West Division Player of the Year

One of the best seasons in program history is already producing some big-time individual accolades for the Clear Creek Amana girls soccer team.
Clear Creek Amana had nine players earn all-division honors when the WAMAC announced its postseason awards highlighted by senior Lauren Riggle who was selected as the West Division player of the year.
Riggle led a list of four Clippers to earn first-team all-division honors joining seniors Ellen Austin and Peyton Grafft and freshman Eva Plathe on the West Division first team.
A three-year varsity starter Riggle led the WAMAC West Division and ranked third among all WAMAC players with 26 goals and 62 total points this season while helping the Clippers to a 15-3 record and a spot in the 2A regional final.
Riggle had 10 assists to go with her team-high 26 goals.
Austin led the West Division and ranked second in the entire conference with 19 assists and ranked second on the team with 10 goals.
Grafft had six assists and scored two goals while Plathe had one assist.
Senior Eliza Evans, junior Maddie Shade and freshman Halle Bormann were all named to the West Division second team.
Bormann ranked third on the team with eight goals and added 10 assists while Evans had seven goals and two assists.
Shade had a goal and an assist for the Clippers.
Senior Gabrielle Bedford and sophomore Leah Evans were both honorable mention honorees.
Solon had six players earn all-divisional honors in the East Division following a 14-6 season that included a trip to a regional final.
Freshman Gabby Knipper and sophomore Morgan Link were both named to the East Division first-team while senior Stella Mesch and sophomore Maria Milliman were second-team selections.
Link led the Spartans and ranked third in the WAMAC East with 25 goals and had a team-high five assists while Knipper scored seven goals and had an assist.
Mesch was second on the team with 12 goals and three assists while Milliman scored two goals.
Sophomore Izzy Paisley and freshman Grace Yetley were both honorable mention picks in the East Division.
