Baseball Roundup: Solon Sweeps Dyersville Beckman in WAMAC East Doubleheader

Solon swept a WAMAC East Division doubleheader from Dyersville Beckman on Monday in Dyersville winning the opener 13-7 and taking the nightcap 5-3.
The Spartans improved to 7-4 on the season and 5-2 in WAMAC play while Dyersville Beckman dropped to 7-5 and 4-4 in conference play.
Drew Turner earned the win for Solon in game one allowing two runs on two hits while striking out five and walking five in four innings.
Brady Jeworrek was 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs scored and four RBI to lead the Solon offense.
Brett White was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Blake Timmons was 2-for-3 with two runs scored an RBI.
Cade Chapman had two hits and Carson Shive had a hit, an RBI and scored three runs for the Spartans.
Brayden Rickertsen picked up the win in the nightcap allowed three runs on three hits and striking out eight in a complete game.
Timmons went 4-for-4 and Kinnick Pusteoska was 3-for-4 with a home run and two doubles and drove in two runs and scored twice.
Gehrig Turner had two hits and drove in two runs and White scored twice.
