West High Senior Godbolt Named Mississippi Valley Conference Divisional Player of the Year

West High had a nice haul of hardware during a stellar season that featured a conference divisional title and a state runner-up finish.
On Monday the Trojans continued to rake in the awards.
West High had seven players earn first or second team all-division honors when the Mississippi Valley Conference announced its postseason awards.
Kolby Godbolt was named Valley Division player of the year after leading West High with 21 goals while helping the Trojans to a 20-2 record and a Class 3A runner-up finish.
The senior forward had eight assists in his lone season at West High helping the Trojans to Valley Division title.
Sophomore Michael Nelson and seniors Andy Lu and Yulong Shao both joined Godbolt on the Valley Division first team.
Nelson ranked second on the team with 14 goals and had five assists and Lu had four goals and two assists as a defender.
Shao had three goals and two assists out of the midfield.
Seniors Marko Migambi, Matthew Steinbronn and Owen Smith were all second-team selections for West High.
Migambi ranked third on the team with seven goals and was second with six assists while Smith had a goal and an assist.
Steinbronn had three goals and two assists for the Trojans.
Junior Teo Gonzalez and senior Brendan Klutts were both honorable mention selections for West High.
City High had three players earn first-team honors as juniors Aaron Rutherford, Matthew Brown and Ben Horwitz were all selected to the Mississippi Division first team.
Sophomores Alima Mmunga and Emmitt Hansen were both named to the Mississippi Division second team while Juniors James Tinkham and Kongolo Mwenemkamba were both honorable mention picks for City High.
Liberty High sophomore Hayden Saul and junior Jaxyn Logan were both first-team picks in the Mississippi Division.
Saul led the Lightning with eight goals and added two assists while Logan made 110 saves in goal.
Freshman Forrest Saul and junior Joslin Gembo were named to the Mississippi Division second team.
Forrest Saul had three goals and an assist and Gembo had a goal and an assist for the Lightning.
Freshman Flori Gembo and senior Mardoche Ntonku were honorable mention picks for Liberty High.
