The most successful season in Liberty High history came to a close on Friday with a 2-0 loss to sixth-ranked North Scott on Friday in the Class 2A, Region 5 title game in Eldridge.

North Scott improved to 13-5 and advanced to the state tournament with the win while Liberty High closed the season 11-7.

The 11 wins are the most in a season in program history.

North Scott will face Norwalk in a 2A quarterfinal on Tuesday at 1:15 at Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines.
