Fourth-ranked West Des Moines Dowling scored three goals in the second half to pull away for a 5-1 win over No. 13 West High in the Class 3A, Region 4 title game on Friday in West Des Moines.

Dowling (15-3) advanced to the 3A state tournament with the win while West High had an eight-match winning streak snapped with the loss and closes the season 12-5.

Logan Flori had two goals and an assist to lead Dowling while Lauren Linkletter, Natalie Scales and Ella Anliker each had a goal for the Maroons.

Dowling will face Ankeny Centennial (17-2) on Tuesday at 3:15 in a Class 3A quarterfinal.
