Seventh-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes scored a pair of second-half goals to edge ninth-ranked Clear Creek Amana 2-0 in the Class 2A, Region 5 title game on Friday in Grimes.

Dallas Center-Grimes improved to 13-5 on the season and advanced to the 2A state tournament with the win while Clear Creek Amana closes the season 15-3.

Olivia Cyr and Elena Bartak scored second-half goals for the Mustangs as Dallas Center-Grimes broke open a scoreless halftime tie.

Dallas Center-Grimes will face Council Bluffs Lewis Central (17-2) on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in a Class 2A quarterfinal at Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines.
