Cedar Rapids Prairie swept Liberty High in a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader on Friday in North Liberty taking the opener 9-2 and winning the nightcap 12-6.
Liberty High dropped to 4-3 with the losses while Cedar Rapids Prairie improved to 8-0 on the season.
Liberty High got doubles from Keian Secrist and Jack Funke in the opener but could only must a pair of third-inning runs against Prairie starter Jackson Nove.
Hayden Vickroy went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Funke and Noah Kirk scored runs for the Lightning.
Boyd Skelley took the loss for Liberty High allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings.
Prairie had five extra-base hits and won the nightcap 12-6.
Noah Kirk took the loss for Liberty High allowing 10 runs, four earned, on eight hits in three innings.
Cody Schroeder went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI and Garret Roggy had a hit and drove in two runs for the Lightning.
Skelley, Jack Funke and Keian Secrist had hits and scored runs for the Lightnign while Brody Fishman scored a run and drove in a run.
