Softball Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Gets Road Sweep at Maquoketa

Clear Creek Amana swept Maquoketa in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional doubleheader in Maquoketa on Tuesday winning the opener 10-0 and taking the nightcap 7-2.
The Clippers improved to 2-2 on the season while Maquoketa dropped to 2-4.
Ashley Webb tossed a three-hit shutout in the opener, striking out eight without walking a batter to lead the Clippers.
Gabrielle Bedford went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and drove in four runs to lead the Clear Creek Amana offense.
Emma Mathis had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run and Bailey Olerich had a hit and scored a run.
Ellie Crow, Reece Stockman and Avery Allan all drove in runs.
In the nightcap Bliss Beck allowed just two runs, one earned, on three hits while striking out eight and Webb worked a scoreless seventh inning.
Olerich, Mathis, Alan and Crow all had two hits for the Clippers.
Crow doubled and drove in three runs while Alan scored twice and Stockman had a double and an RBI.
