West High snapped a scoreless halftime tie with a pair of second half goals on its way to a 2-0 win over ninth-ranked Des Moines Roosevelt (10-4) in a Class 3A regional semifinal on Wednesday at Barker Field in Iowa City.

Juniors Mattie Harms and Kenadee Showalter each scored second-half goals as No. 13 West High improved to 12-4 on the season and advanced to the Class 3A, Region 4 title game.

West High will face fourth-ranked West Des Moines Dowling (14-3) on Friday at 6 p.m. in the regional championship in West Des Moines.

West Des Moines Dowling defeated Southeast Polk 4-1 on Wednesday in the other Region 4 semifinal.
