Girls Soccer Roundup: Regina Advances to Regional Title Game With Win over Bellevue Marquette

Regina took another step toward a return to the state soccer tournament on Tuesday.
The biggest step for the Regals in their state tournament return lies ahead.
Regina got four goals from standout sophomore Grace Gaarde and rolled to 6-0 win over Bellevue Marquette (10-4) in a Class 1A, Region 7 semifinal in Iowa City.
The win sends Regina (9-7) to the Region 7 title game where it will travel to sixth-ranked Dubuque Wahlert (10-6) on Friday for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
Dubuque Wahlert reached the Region 7 championship with a 10-0 win over Anamosa, its second consecutive 10-0 postseason win.
Annie Gahan added two goals and an assist on Tuesday as Regina stopped a five-match winning streak for Bellevue Marquette.
Emma Sueppel had two assists while Lydia Pritchard and Natalie Schott each had one assist for Regina which has outscored opponents 10-0 in regional matches.
