Solon picked up a pair of non-conference wins at its own triangular on Saturday defeating Saydel 10-5 and downing Cedar Rapids Washington 15-6 in Solon.

The Spartans hammered out 32 hits including five home runs in the two wins while improving to 5-0 on the season.

Sarah Heick went 4-for-4 with a pair of home runs and a triple in the 10-5 win over Saydel.

Heick drove in two runs and three times in the win.

Camryn Keith went 3-for-3 with a run scored while Hilary Wilson was 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored.

Monet Barnhouse and Ava Stebral each went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in the win.

Kendall Jensen allowed just three hits in three scoreless innings to earn the win while Izzy Frees allowed five runs, two earned, on six hits in four innings of relief.

Solon hammered 15 hits in a 15-6 win over Cedar Rapids Washington with Heick leading the way with three hits, including a pair of doubles, while driving in three runs and scoring three ties.

Keith went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Carly Elison had two hits including a home run, drove in two runs and scored twice.

Meghan O’Neill and Wilson each had two hits and drove in a run, Jada Buffington went 2-for-4 with a double and Stebral doubled, drove in a run and scored a run.
