Boys Soccer Roundup: Regina Rolls Past Prince of Peace in Substate Semifinal

The quest for a fourth consecutive state title began for Regina in resounding fashion on Monday evening.
Three-time defending state champion Regina scored eight first-half goals and rolled to an 8-4 win over Prince of Peace in a Class 1A, Substate 4 semifinal in Iowa City.
Third-ranked Regina improved to 10-7 on the season and will host fourth-ranked Solon (13-5) in the Substate 4 title game on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Prince of Peace closed the season at 8-7.
Senior Alec Wick scored four goals in the first half helping Regina build an insurmountable 8-0 halftime lead.
Kalaeb Wendy and Levi Quinlan each had two goals while Quinlan added an assist for the Regals.
Trent Gerard had two assists and Coleton Daniel and Jack Hoover each had one for the Regals.
