Savannah Sexton is still going.

The West Branch senior extended her prep golf career for another week on Monday with a runner-up finish at the Class 2A, Region 5A meet at Dyersville Golf and Country Club.

Sexton fired a 96 on Monday to finish four strokes behind individual champion Alli Nash of Tipton and advance to the Region 5 Final on May 24 at the West Liberty Golf and Country Club.

Behind the runner-up finish from Sexton West Branch narrowly missed a spot in the regional final.

West Branch finished third with a 419, two strokes back of runner-up Tipton.

Anamosa had three golfers finish in the top six and won the team title with a 412.

Sexton shot a 47 on the front nine and a 49 on the final nine holes while finishing a stroke in front of Joann Martin of Wilton in second place.

Anamosa teammates Lexah Miller and Madeline Nemmers each shot a 98.

Claire Jarrett and Sophia Kouba each shot 106 for West Branch while Alex Poppen shot 11 and Rylan Druecker 112.
