Girls Golf Roundup: Solon Finishes Third at WAMAC Super Meet

Solon played some of its best golf of the season last week in a runner-up finish at the WAMAC East Divisional meet.
The Spartans were even better on Monday at the WAMAC Super Meet.
Solon posted its best Super Meet finish in more than half a decade on Monday placing third with a 418 at Pin Oak Pub and Links in Manchester.
Williamsburg won the team title with a 379 while host West Delaware was runner-up with a 382.
Dyersville Beckman was fourth with a 418 followed by Vinton-Shellsburg with a 430, Independence with a 431 and Clear Creek Amana with a 441.
Katlyn Jeter fired a 95 to place seventh and earn first-team all-conference honors for Solon while teammate Taylor Dee was 14th with a 103.
Meg Berkland shot a 102 to finish 13th and Ella Hagen was 15th with a 103 to pace Clear Creek Amana.
Mia Peyton of West Delaware won the individual title with an 88, one stroke better than Shea Steffen of Dyersville Beckman.
