Liberty High junior defending state champion Ashlyn Keeney proved she is more than ready for another big postseason push with an impressive performance at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division Meet on Thursday in Cedar Falls.

Keeney won three individual titles and added another runner-up finish to help Liberty High finish fourth in the team standings in a loaded Mississippi Division meet.

Liberty High rolled up 122 points behind the big day from Keeney to finish five points back of third-place Cedar Falls.

Cedar Rapids Prairie and Linn-Mar each scored 130 points to lead the strong divisional field while City High was seventh with 64 points.

Keeney won titles in the 800 (2:20.25), 1,500 (4:57.42) and 3,000 (10:25.6) and finished runner-up in the 400 (1:01.55) to lead the Lightning.

Senior Cami Mac finished third in both the 1,500 and 3,000, Isabelle Woody was third in the long jump, Darya Acas was third in the discus and Brie Klein third in the 100 hurdles for Liberty High.

Liberty High was runner-up in the shuttle hurdle relay and third in the distance medley.

Alia Vanderhoef won the high jump for City High clearing 5-0 and the foursome of Sierra Pruessner, Jordan Sekafetz, CeCe Kelly-Harvey and Lilly Reynolds won the sprint medley in 1:54.23.

Reynolds added a third-place finish in the 400 hurdles for the Little Hawks and City High was runner-up in the 4×400 relay.
