Phoebe Burt, Ella Woods and Erinn Varga all won individual titles on Thursday to help West High to a fourth-place team finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division meet at Kingston Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Burt won the discus and Woods and Varga swept the individual hurdle events as West High finished with 108.5 points.

Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 176 followed by Cedar Rapids Kennedy with 123 and Dubuque Senior with 120.

Burt won the discus with a toss of 126-11 ½ and was runner-up in the shot put with a mark of 36-10.

Woods won the 100 hurdles in 15.87 and Varga claimed the 400 hurdle crown in a time of 1:08.1.

Maddy Negley was third in the 3,000 and Arionnah Sonii was third in the shot put for West High which also finished third in the 4×800, shuttle hurdle and sprint medley relays.
