Boys Track and Field Roundup: Jensen Leads Regina at River Valley Conference Meet

Regina junior Carson Jensen had a River Valley Conference meet to remember on Thursday.
Jensen earned medals in three individual events highlighted by a runner-up finish in the 400 to lead the Regals at the RVC Meet at Anamosa High School.
Bellevue won the team title with 108 points, finishing six points in front of runner-up Monticello while host Anamosa was third with 87.
Tipton was fourth with 80 points followed by Mid-Prairie with 73.5, Cascade with 72 and Camanche with 61.
Regina was 12th with 16 points while West Branch was 13th with 10.5.
Jensen finished second in the 400 in a time of 51.32 and added a seventh-place finish in the 200 in 23.77 and an eighth-place finish in the 100 in the 100.
Josh Gaffey placed fourth in the shot put for the Regals with a toss of 44-2 ½.
The West Branch foursome of Wyatt Fiderlein, Evan Striegel, Kinnick Boelk and Carver Boelk was sixth in both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
The Bears were eighth in the sprint medley and Aurora Marsh was fifth in the high jump.
