In an effort to best mother nature the Mississippi Valley Conference Super Meet took on a little different look and slightly shorter format on Monday.
Neither the weather nor the changes it caused did much to deter West High from playing some of its best golf of the season.
With impending rain expected to interrupt the 18-hole, 16-team mega meet the schedule was shifted into a divisional, nine-hole format.
West High responded by posting the top two individual scores in the Valley Division while tying with Dubuque Hempstead for the team lead.
Leigha Packa fired a 41 to finish first among Valley Division golfers while teammate Rylee Goodfellow was second with a 42 as the Trojans matched Dubuque Hempstead with a 181.
Lucy Schmidt finished fifth in the Valley Division with a 44 and Marit McCaffery fired a 54 for West High.
Liberty High had a pair of golfers finish in the top four in the Mississippi Division while placing fourth as a team with a 179.
Neely Maurus and Bella Pettersen each shot a 38 to place third and fourth respectively among Mississippi Division golfers.
Brianna Butterfield shot a 48 and Alison Colony added a 55 for the Lightning.
Western Dubuque won the Mississippi Division title with a 175 while Emma Sorg of Cedar Rapids Washington carded a one-under-par 35 to win individual medalist honors.
City High shot a 221 to finish eighth in the Mississippi Division.
Annika Rutt led the Little Hawks with a 51 while Anna Knoche shot a 55, Allison Ribble shot a 57 and Dani Moen and Lauryn Varo each fired a 58.
