Colton Hoffman and Brayden Rickertsen each won individual titles and teamed up to help Solon win the distance medley relay as the Spartans ran away from the field to win the team title at the Wildcat Invitational on Monday at Maquoketa Valley High School in Delhi.

Hoffman won the 100 in 11.46 and Rickertsen won the 200 in 23.33 as Solon claimed the team title with 131 points.

West Delaware was runner-up with 84 followed by Edgewood-Colesburg with 76, host Maquoketa Valley with 75 and Jesup with 57.

Hoffman and Rickertsen teamed with Blake Timmons and Ben DeValk to win the distance medley in 3:43.95 and the foursome of Jackson Ryan, Brady Mullen, Nash Kotar and Brady Jeworrek won the shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:06.29.

DeValk was runner-up in the 800 and Michael Yeomans was runner-up in the 1,600 for the Spartans which added second-place finish in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
