Solon had four golfers finish in the top eight on its way to winning the team title at the West Delaware Hawk Invite on Saturday at Pin Oak Pub and Links in Manchester.

Frank Haege Jr. fired a 78 to earn individual runner-up honors as the Spartans shot a 320 as a team to finish 11 strokes in front of runner-up Waverly-Shell Rock for the team title.

Waterloo Columbus was third with a 345 followed by host West Delaware with a 353 and Independence with a 361.

Jack McCarty shot a 78 to place third, Stetson McIlravy was sixth with an 82 and Mac McCarty was eighth with an 83 for the Spatans.

Haege Jr. shot a 38 on the opening nine and closed with a 40 while finishing four strokes back of individual medalist Hogan Hansen of Waverly-Shell Rock.

Lucas TePoel added an 85 for the Spartans.
