Clear Creek Amana got individual titles from Alex Figueroa, Noah Yost and Brandon Barker and won the 4×800 relay on its way to a runner-up team finish at the Newton Invite on Friday afternoon in Newton.

Ottumwa won the team title with 122 points followed by Clear Creek Amana with 93, Newton with 87 and Grinnell with 84.

Figueroa remained unbeaten in the 100 this season winning in a time of 11.46 while Barker won the 3,200 in a time of 10:04.39.

Yost added a title in the 800 in a time of 2:04.45.

Gavin Zillyette, Tom Johnson, Cash Jensen and Barker won the 4×800 relay in 8:13.87 and Clear Creek Amana was runner-up in the distance medley and third in both the sprint medley and 4×200 relays.

Ben Swails was runner-up in the long jump, Figueroa was third in the 200 and Johnson was third in the 400 for the Clippers.
