Clear Creek Amana earned a historic win on Tuesday night and in the process helped its veteran coach hit an impressive milestone.
Matt Harding earned career victory number 100 on Tuesday as Clear Creek Amana blanked Center Point-Urbana 1-0 in a WAMAC Conference West Division match in Center Point.
It was just the second win for the Clippers over Center Point-Urbana in nine seasons under Harding and the first road win over the Stormin’ Pointers during that stretch.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 5-0 on the season with just its second win in the series since 2011 while Center Point-Urbana dropped to 3-4 on the year.
Ellen Austin provided the lone goal of the match on a free kick in the first half.
Clear Creek Amana made the goal from Austin stand up as Emma Schmidt recorded the first shutout of her career in goal.
The Clipper defense led by Maddie Shade held Center Point-Urbana to a single shot on goal.
Clear Creek Amana returns to action on Friday at Maquoketa.
