Class 2A No. 14 Clear Creek Amana stretched its winning streak to three with a 3-1 victory over No. 16 Benton Community on Tuesday in a WAMAC Conference match in Van Horne.

Ben George scored a pair of first-half goals and Christian Withrow added another as Clear Creek Amana improved to 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in WAMAC play. Benton Community dropped to 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in conference action.

Since a 2-0 loss to Dyersville Beckman in the season opener Clear Creek Amana has rattled off three consecutive wins while outscoring opponents 11-1.

George provided the early offense on Tuesday while Harrison Cory had a pair of assists and Taylor Christensen had one.

Wes Quinlan made seven saves in goal for the Clippers which held Benton scoreless in the second half.

Clear Creek Amana travels to fifth-ranked Vinton-Shellsburg (4-0) on Friday.
