West High, Solon Both Second in Initial IAHSSCA Soccer Rankings

Follow a year with no rankings, no matches and no season at all West High has wasted little time returning to its familiar spot toward the top of the Class 3A soccer rankings.
West High (2-1) is second in the Class 3A rankings in the first rankings of the season by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association released on Wednesday.
The Trojans trail only Waukee in the 3A rankings and are followed by Johnston, West Des Moines Valley and Cedar Rapids Prairie in Class 3A.
City High (2-1) is 14th in the initial 3A rankings.
Solon (3-1) is second in the Class 1A rankings behind top-ranked Burlington Notre Dame (1-0).
Three-time defending champion Regina is tied with West Liberty for fourth in the Class 3A rankings.
Clear Creek Amana is receiving votes in Class 2A.
