Clear Creek Amana won a trio of relay titles and had the top two finishers in the 100 hurdles on its way to a runner-up team finish at the Dennis Riley Invitational on Tuesday at West Liberty.

Emma Mathis and Silvana Kabolo finished first and second in the 100 hurdles and each ran on the winning shuttle hurdle relay team as Clear Creek Amana rolled up 117 points to finish runner-up to team champion Tipton.

West Branch was ninth with 34 points.

Clear Creek Amana added titles in the 4×400 and 4×800 and was runner-up in both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays while finishing 40 points in front of third-place Anamosa.

Mathis won the 100 hurdles in 17.04 while Kabola was runner-up in 17.41.

The Clipper squad of Mathis, Cileigh Smiddy, Kayla Jiras and Kabolo won the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:10.61.

Clear Creek Amana’s team of Kiera Rogers, Bliss Beck, Jiras and Sam Schrage won the 4×400 in 4:22.69 and Rogers, Haidyn Barker, Schrage and Avery Allan won the 4×800 in 10:41.38.

Bailey Olerich was runner-up in the 200 in 28.77 and Barker was third in the 800 in 2:36.36.

Allie Laschanzky led West Branch with a runner-up finish in the shot put with a toss of 33-7 ½ while Sasha Koenig was sixth in the 100 hurdles.

Lila Krall was fifth and Allie Laschanzy was sixth in the discus for the Bears.
