Regina Golf Opens Season With Dual Win Over Mid-Prairie

The Regina boys golf team opened the season with a win.
Regina edged Mid-Prairie by six strokes in a season-opening River Valley Conference dual meet on a breezy afternoon on Monday at the Kalona Golf Course.
Mike Tackas fired a 47 to earn individual medalist honors finishing five strokes clear of Mid-Prairie’s Warren Scarff who was runner-up with a 52.
Tackas had a dual meet-leading three pars on his way to his 47, posting pars on the third, fourth and ninth holes, all par fours.
Andrew Triplett shot a 55 for Regina including a par on the par-five seventh and Evan Loening shot a 56 for the Regals.
Ethan Patterson carded a 64 for the Regals.
