A quick start and a strong finish lifted Clear Creek Amana to a WAMAC Conference road win on Monday night.

Clear Creek Amana outscored Vinton-Shellsburg 31-15 in the first and fourth quarters combined on its way to a 61-45 win in Vinton.

The Clippers improved to 16-5 on the season and 15-2 in WAMAC Conference play with the win while Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 9-10 and 6-10 in WAMAC play.

Christian Withrow led Clear Creek Amana with 16 points and nine rebounds while Mike Potter had 15 points and five boards.

Ryan Navara had 11 points, eight rebounds and two assists and Kyle Schrepfer had 11 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Clippers.

CJ Rickels had a game-high 18 points to lead Vinton-Shellsburg.
