Class 5A sixth-ranked West High pushed its winning streak to nine with a 65-35 win over Liberty High on Saturday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional contest in North Liberty.

West High improved to 11-3 with the win while Liberty High dropped to 4-11.

Matayia Tellis had a game-high 17 points to pace West High while Emma Ingersoll-Weng had 11 points.

Audrey Koch had nine points, Anna Prouty had eight and Meena Tate six for the Trojans.

Haley Schroeder led Liberty High with 11 points while Ava Meyer had eight and Keiki Ono-Fullard and Sunny Yarnell each had five.
