A day after returning to the court for the first time in nearly three weeks City High got back in the win column again on Saturday.

Class 5A No. 12 City High followed up a Friday night win at Linn-Mar with a 69-28 rout o Cedar Rapids Jefferson on Saturday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Iowa City.

Eviyon Richardson poured in a game-high 20 points as City High improved to 9-4 on the season.

Kelsey Joens added 17 points and Ella Cook had all 16 of her points in the first half as City High raced to a 48-16 lead.

Andie Westlake added eight points for the Little Hawks.

Emma Slings had 14 points for Cedar Rapids Jefferson which dropped to 15 with the loss.
