Regina needs a win in its postseason opener to earn a rematch with Mid-Prairie.
The Golden Hawks got the best of the regular season series, completing the River Valley Conference sweep of the Regals with a 59-36 win the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon in Iowa City.
Regina closes the regular season 7-11 and 7-9 in RVC play while Mid-Prairie improved to 14-7 on the year and 14-5 in conference games.
Ashton Cook had 17 points, nine rebounds and three steals to lead Regina while Alec Wick had four points, five rebounds and two assists.
Aidan Rath led Mid-Prairie with 16 points and 10 rebounds while Carter Harmsen had 15 points
and five rebounds.
