Girls Basketball Roundup: Regina Rolls Past Mid-Prairie

The first meeting of the season between Regina and River Valley Conference South Division rival Mid-Prairie came down to the final minutes.
Regina made enough plays late to escape with 49-43 win over the Golden Hawks in Wellman back in December.
On Saturday Regina took care of business early.
Regina raced to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and never let up in a 65-32 win over Mid-Prairie in Iowa City.
The win was the third straight for Regina and improved the Regals to 9-5 on the season and 9-4 in RVC play while Mid-Prairie dropped to 9-10 on the year and 8-9 in conference play.
Grace Gaarde paced the Regals with 17 points while Annie Gahan added 16 for the Regals.
Lily Simpson had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
