Boys Basketball Roundup: Solon Erases Halftime Deficit in Road Win at Maquoketa

For the second time this season Solon erased a halftime deficit to keep its winning streak alive with a win over Maquoketa.
After rallying from a 10-point halftime hole in a 57-50 win over the Cardinals last month Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon came back from an eight-point deficit on Friday to complete the season sweep of Maquoketa with an 82-71 win in Maquoketa.
The win was the 16th straight for Solon and improved the Spartans to 16-1 on the season and 14-0 in WAMAC Conference play.
Maquoketa dropped to 5-12 on the year and 4-10 in WAMAC play with its fifth consecutive loss.
David Bluder poured in a game-high 29 points to lead Solon while Bo Janssen had 13 of his 15 points in the second half helping the Spartans rally from a 42-34 halftime hole.
Ben Cusick had 13 points, Kinnick Pusteoska had 11 and Will Noonan chipped in with seven for Solon.
Maquoketa was led by Brady Digmann with 13 points while Caiden Atienza had 11 and Connor Becker added 10.
