Riding a 14-game winning streak Solon has climbed to its highest ranking of the season in the most recent Associated Press Basketball poll released on Monday.

Solon (14-1) jumped two spots to fourth in the Class 3A poll released on Monday trailing only top-ranked Ballard, Pella and Monticello and leading Carroll in the top five.

The lone remaining unbeaten team in the Your Prep Sports area, West Branch (12-0) held its spot at fifth in the most recent 2A rankings.

Liberty High (5-1) dropped three spots into a tie for eighth with Southeast Polk in the Class 4A poll following a loss to top-ranked Cedar Falls last Tuesday.

Top-ranked teams this week remained the same with Cedar Falls (4A), Ballard (3A), Boyden-Hull (2A) and North Linn (1A) holding onto the top spots.
