City High collected its second and third Mississippi Valley Conference dual wins in a span of 48 hours on Friday with back-to-back narrow wins over Cedar Falls and Liberty High in an MVC double dual in Iowa City.

The Little Hawks followed up a 62-16 road win at Dubuque Wahlert on Thursday with a pair of tight home wins on Friday.

City High defeated Cedar Falls 40-39 via tiebreaker in its opener on Friday and closed the evening with a 36-34 win over Liberty High.

Cedar Falls and City High split the seven matches and each finished with 39 points with the dual coming down to the ninth criteria and City High winning due to a 13-8 edge in near fall points.

Kael Kurtz, Cale Seaton, Ariel Collins, Ryan Ott, Sam Kueter and Ben Kueter all posted pins for City High in the win over Cedar Falls.

The Little Hawks got a pair of wins via forfeit and pins from Seaton, Ott and Sam and Ben Kueter in the 36-34 win over Liberty High.

Philippi Jackson and Elijah Terwilleger each won by fall to lead the Lightning.
