Girls Basketball Roundup: West Branch Gets Third Win in Three Days

After going nearly three weeks without a game West Branch rattled off three straight wins in less than 72 hours.
Class 2A third-ranked West Branch stretched its winning streak to nine with its third win in as many days on Saturday with a 73-23 victory over North Cedar in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in West Branch.
The Saturday morning win over the Knights came a little more than 12 hours after the Bears defeated Wilton on Friday night and improved West Branch to 12-1 on the season and in RVC play.
North Cedar dropped to 0-16 with the loss.
Sasha Koenig led West Branch with 24 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.
Taya Young and Rylan Druecker each had 17 points for the Bears with Young grabbing five rebounds and Druecker added three rebounds and three assists.
Lexie Peak had six points and Delaynie Luneckas had four points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
