Girls Basketball Roundup: West Branch Cruises Past Wilton

A day after picking up a win in its first game after a nearly three-week break West Branch looked like it was getting back into the groove on Friday.
Class 2A third-ranked West Branch had five players in double figures and rolled to a 72-35 win over Wilton in a River Valley Conference South Division showdown in West Branch.
The win was the eight straight for West Branch, improved the Bears to 11-1 on the season and in RVC play and completed the season sweep of Wilton (9-7, 7-7).
West Branch won the first meeting 64-53 back on December 15.
Taya Young had 18 points as all five West Branch starters scored in double figures.
Delaynie Luneckas had 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists while Sasha Koenig had 15 points, nine assists and five rebounds.
Lexie Peak hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists while Rylan Druecker added 11 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists.
