In its first game action since January 5 Regina couldn’t quite keep pace with Monticello in a 44-34 loss to the Panthers in a River Valley Conference crossover matchup in Monticello.

Regina dropped to 6-3 with the loss while Monticello improved to 11-5 on the season and 10-4 in RVC play with its third consecutive win.

Grace Gaarde had 12 points and three assists to lead Regina while Annie Gahan added 12 points and two steals for the Regals.

Lily Simpson had eight rebounds, Abby Clark had five rebounds and Alli Dillon had four points and five rebounds for Regina.
