City High lost its second tight game to a ranked team on Saturday falling to Class 5A No. 12 West Des Moines Valley 45-43 in a non-conference matchup in West Des Moines.

Eighth-ranked City High dropped to 7-4 on the season while West Des Moines Dowling improved to 5-4.

Ella Cook had 14 points to lead City High while Kelsey Joens added 12 points and Eviyon Richardson had nine.

Andie Westlake added seven points for the Little Hawks.
