Mary Crompton
Regina graduate and current Illinois State sophomore Mary Crompton scored a career-high 21 points in an 81-75 overtime win over Valparaiso on Thursday.
Crompton made five 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 21 points and also had five rebounds and three assists.
A 5-foot-8 guard, Crompton has started all nine games for Illinois State this season and ranks second on the team with 12.6 points per game and is shooting a team-high 53 percent from 3-point range.
Devontae Lane
Former West High all-stater Devontae Lane has established himself as one of the team’s top playmakers in his second season as a regular in the Central Michigan backcourt.
Lane has started all 13 games this season for Central Michigan (6-7) and is playing a team-high 29.7 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 8.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and leads Central Michigan with 3.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Bryce West
The former Solon state champion and current 133-pound junior at Northern Illinois posted a 9-6 decision over Drew Marten in a dual against Central Michigan on Sunday.
An NCAA qualifier at 125 pounds in 2019, West posted a career-best 23-11 record last season and is off to a 2-1 mark this year at 133 pounds.
