Solon, West Branch Climb Again in Associated Press Boys Basketball Poll

For the second week in a row Solon and West Branch both moved up in the Associated Press boys basketball poll.
Solon (10-1) moved up two spots to seventh in the Class 3A poll while West Branch (9-0) rose one spot to fourth in the most recent 2A poll released on Monday.
The Spartans have won 10 straight since a season-opening loss to Central DeWitt while West Branch joins Roland-Story and top-ranked Boyden-Hull as the lone remaining unbeaten teams in Class 2A.
Liberty High (3-0) remained third in the Class 4A poll.
Top-ranked teams this week remained the same as Cedar Falls (4A), Pella (3A), Boyden-Hull (2A) and North Linn (1A) remained in the top spots.
