Girls Basketball Roundup: West High Races Past Fourth-ranked Cedar Falls

Four players scored in a double figures led by Emma Ingersoll-Weng with 23 points as Class 5A seventh-ranked West High upset fourth-ranked Cedar Falls 86-76 on Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Iowa City.
West High improved to 4-3 on the season with its second consecutive win while Cedar Falls had a five-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 9-2 with the loss.
Audrey Koch had 21 points, Anna Prouty had 16 and Jenna Saunders added 12 for West High. Meena Tate finished with seven points for the Trojans.
Anaya Barney had a game-high 35 points to pace Cedar Falls while Sarah Albaugh had 14 and Anna Sandvold had 11.
