Hayden Taylor and Gage Marty won individual titles and Solon had four runner-up finishes on its way to winning the team title at the PCM Mustang Invitational on Saturday in Monroe.

Taylor won the title at 160 pounds and Marty earned gold at 220 as Solon finished with 168 points to outdistance runner-up Iowa Falls by 29 points.

The Spartans got runner-up finishes from David Karam at 145, Caleb Ebert at 152, Lucas Kampman at 170 and Lucas TePoel at 182 pounds to win the 12-team meet.

Taylor (18-0) rolled to the title at 160 pounds, earning a pair of tech falls and a second-period pin on his way to the championship.

Marty (16-4) posted a pair of first-period pins before earning a 9-0 major decision over Gilbert junior Joe Larimore in the 220-pound title match.

Solon also got a third-place finish from Nash Altman at 285 pounds.
