Liberty High fell to Cedar Rapids Jefferson 56-52 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division contest in Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Rapids Jefferson improved to 1-2 with the win while Liberty High dropped to 0-2.

Freshman Brynlee Slockett led Liberty High with 12 points while Sunny Yarnell, Keiko Ono-Fullard and Kennedy Daugherty each had eight points for the Lightning.

Haley Schroeder had seven points and seven assists and Daugherty grabbed seven rebounds for Liberty High.
