Girls Basketball Roundup: Solon Stretches Win Streak to Five With Win at Independence

Solon will enter 2021 one of the hottest teams in the state after closing out the 2020 portion of its schedule with an 81-22 win at Independence on Tuesday in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup.
The win was the fifth straight for Solon and improved the Spartans to 6-2 on the season while Independence dropped to 1-5.
Solon led 49-12 at the half and 11 different players scored on Tuesday as the Spartans posted a season-high scoring output.
Callie Levin had a game-high 15 points to lead Solon while Ava Stebral had 14 and Hailey Miller had 10.
Makinley Levin had nine, Kaia Holtkamp, Claire LaDage and Alex Locke all had eight for the Spartans.
