Girls Basketball Roundup: West Branch Gets Back on Track With Road Win at Wilton

Top-ranked West Branch got back on track following its first loss of the season using a strong second half to pull away from Wilton in a 64-53 win over the Beavers in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Wilton on Tuesday.
Class 2A No. 1 West Branch improved to 4-1 on the season and in RVC play while Wilton moved to 3-3 and 2-3 in conference play.
Sasha Koenig led West Branch with 20 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Lexie Peak hit three 3-pointers and finished with 16 points.
Taya Young had 15 points, six rebounds and two assists and Rylan Druecker had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Bears.
Kelsey Drake led Wilton with 19 points while Ella Caffrey had 13 for the Beavers.
