Clear Creek Amana didn’t need to wait long for a chance to get back on track following a last-second loss to Grinnell on Thursday.

Less than 24 hours after letting a late lead slip away in an overtime loss to Grinnell the Clippers got back on track with a 70-63 win over Mount Vernon in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup in Tiffin.

Christian Withrow poured in a season-high 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Clear Creek Amana improved to 2-2 on the season.

Kyle Schrepfer added 13 points while Ryan Navara had 12 points and six rebounds in the win.
