 For the third consecutive week West Branch is number one in the Class 2A Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union girls basketball rankings.

West Branch (3-0) remained in the top spot in the rankings released by the IGHSAU on Thursday as the top seven teams in the 2A rankings went unchanged.

Following West Branch in the 2A top five are Maquoketa Valley, South Central Calhoun, North Linn and Dike New-Hartford.

Clear Creek Amana, West High and City High each held their spots this week.

West High and City High remained fifth and eighth respective as the Class 5A rankings were unchanged from last week.

Clear Creek Amana (1-0) stayed at No. 14 in the Class 4A rankings.
