Wrestling Roundup: Solon Finishes Runner-up at Jeremy Fulk Classic

Led by an individual title from junior Hayden Taylor at 160 pounds Solon finished runner-up at the Jeremy Fulk Classic in New London on Saturday with 155.5 points.
Class 1A second-ranked Lisbon won the team title with 249.5 points followed by Solon while Fort Madison was third with 142 and host New London was fourth with 125.5.
Taylor (4-0) posted a pair of pins on his way to the 160-pound title including a second-period pin of Fort Madison senior Mason Schau in the title match.
Junior Gage Marty added a runner-up finish at 220 pounds falling to top-ranked Cole Clark of Lisbon in the championship match.
Milo Ashbacker was third at 126 pounds for the Spartans while Lawson Sinnwell, Lucas Kampman and Nash Altman all added fourth-place finishes.
