Clear Creek Amana’s Clubb and Pollock Named to WAMAC West Division First Team

It hasn’t taken long for Calia Clubb to earn a reputation as one of the best players in the WAMA Conference.
The Clear Creek Amana junior continued to build on that reputation this season earning unanimous first-team WAMAC West Division honors for the second consecutive season on Thursday when the conference announced its postseason awards.
Clubb was one of five Clippers to earn all-Division honors and was joined on the West Division first team by senior Hailey Pollock.
The 6-foot-1 Clubb was a unanimous first-team West Division pick for the second year in a row after leading Clear Creek Amana with 243 kills and ranking second on the team with 226 digs.
Clubb ranked fourth in the West Division with 3.2 kills per set and added 28 ace serves while helping the Clippers to a 25-6 overall record and runner-up finish in the West Division.
Pollock was a first-team selection for the first time in her career after earning second-team honors last season.
The 6-foot-2 Pollock was second on the team with 221 kills, ranking fifth in the West Division with 2.9 per set and her .342 hitting efficiency was best in the West Division.
Pollock led all West Division players with 79 total blocks, an average of 1 block per set and ranked second on the team with 36 ace serves.
Senior Lauren Riggle was named to the West Division second team after ranking third on the team with 208 digs and fifth with 60 kills.
Freshman Meg Berkland and junior Morgan Etscheidt were both honorable mention selections for Clear Creek Amana.
Solon senior Kennedy Bombei was named to the East Division second team while sophomore Delaney Bombei and junior Maddie Manifold were both honorable mention honorees for the Spartans.
Kennedy Bombei ranked second on the team with 247 assists, was third with 157 digs and led the Spartans with 56 ace serves.
