West High had four runners finish in the top 15 on its way to a runner-up team finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Divisional meet on Thursday at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.

Class 4A second-ranked Dubuque Hempstead had four runners finish in the top five led by individual champion Ryan Winger and rolled to the team title with 20 points.

West High was second with 62 points followed by Cedar Rapids Kennedy with 96, Dubuque Senior with 97 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson with 113.

Caden Noeller paced West High with a sixth-place finish in a time of 16:34.9 while Seth Cheney was eighth in 16:43.7.

Mohan Kumar placed 14^th in 17:06.3 and teammate Tosh Klever was 15^th in 17:07.8.

The West High girls team placed fourth behind pair of ranked teams as seventh-ranked Dubuque Senior won the team title with 32 points and eighth-ranked Hempstead was second with 39.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy was third with 73 followed by West High with 91.

Senior Maddy Negley finished eighth in 19:46.1 while Vicki Carrica was 18^th in 20:29.7 and Sara Alava placed 19^th in 20:32.4.
